Gluten Free Staffordshire Oatcake Mix

Ingredients: A Wheat free, Gluten Free blend of:
Flour blend (rice,tapioca,potato,sarrasin,carob),
Sugar beet, Xanthan gum, Brown rice, White rice,
Bi-carbonate of soda, Yeast, Sugar and Salt.

Not suitable for freezing.

It is thought that up to 1 in 100 people may suffer from coeliac disease. Triggered by Gluten which is a protein found in Rye, Barley, Wheat and Oats, coeliac disease can be treated by excluding Gluten from the diet.

Traditionally “Oatcakes" would be made using a combination of flours and oats, what we have done at The Original Oatie Co. is to remove the standard flours and all of the oats and replace it with a blend of Gluten Free flours without affecting the taste and texture of the famous Staffordshire Oatcake.
